Simple Natural Carbon Sequestration
Yes, yes, yes..a KISS..Keep it simple stupid plan for carbon sequestration. More trees..more beautiful, natural trees. The USDA calculated that a seven year old sugar maple would sequester twenty one pounds of carbon per year and breathe in an additional twelve pounds of carbon per year..for a total of thirty three pounds of carbon naturally processed per year.
How many trees would we have to plant to sequester the excess carbon we are generating?

Do you have material for Snohomish County. I tried Snohomish PUD. Their person on solar energy was busy and did not call me back. A year or so ago I had tried to learn about solar energy from the PUD .
From the information they sent me them I calculated that the cost of your own installation would run about 35 cents per KWH and the PUD would credit you for your excess energy at the rate they sell power to you.
The article in yesterday's times suggests that City Light is more generous.
Great to hear from you. Thanks for contacting us. It just so happens that one of the very first people to email us was Doris Abravanel Program Manger of Planet Power at Snohomish County PUD. She wanted to insure that Snohomish County PUD customers had all the information about green power creation. Here is your answer straight from the source.
Hi,
I read the article featuring your solar installation and blog
and would like to introduce myself. I'm program manager of
Planet Power at Snohomish County PUD. Planet Power is our voluntary
green power program which funds additional green power development.
We are currently focusing on solar PV. The Planet Power program is for
our customers only but wanted you to be aware as we keep trying to get
the word out so more PUD customers will enroll in the program. I want
solar enthusiasts such as yourselves knowing about our program as you
can help spread the word. To date, we have 2 completed solar demonstrations
projects and four more installations going. We plan to do a competitive
solicitation to select more hosts for demonstration projects this fall.
Read more about our program at

We also have incentives for customer's to do their own solar through another program we started this Spring called Solar Express.
