Here is what one ton of carbon looks like. Now stack thirteen of these together and that is the volume of carbon that the PEMCO roof has saved from being released into the atmosphere since the Solar Pie roof was installed.
Simple Natural Carbon Sequestration
July 22nd, 2009Yes, yes, yes..a KISS..Keep it simple stupid plan for carbon sequestration. More trees..more beautiful, natural trees. The USDA calculated that a seven year old sugar maple would sequester twenty one pounds of carbon per year and breathe in an additional twelve pounds of carbon per year..for a total of thirty three pounds of carbon naturally processed per year.
How many trees would we have to plant to sequester the excess carbon we are generating?
